I was born and raised by grandparents in a small town in Northeast Indiana. It was a wholesome small world I lived in, which left me with a relatively clean canvas for learning about the world. I graduated early from high school and went immediately into the US Navy to learn in the nuclear power program. After the Navy it was off to the university. While studying computer science and coding at night, I was given an opportunity to play international basketball and continue to learn computer programming in Reykjavik Iceland. Thus the start of my global indoctrination. I spent three years in Reykjavik seeing the world through new "European" eyes. After that adventure of learning Icelandic and surviving the long winter nights, i guessed that I could do pretty much anything I set my mind to.

A quick summary of my early professional life, which was all about technology and learning everything about coding. I was early on in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and automated code generation, which led to starting a business around rapid development methodologies and CASE tools. I was fortunate to have made enough of a splash in the Denver, CO market to get acquired by Accenture (then Andersen Consulting). The rest seems like a blur. Large corporations in many different countries became my clients and my life. I spent nearly ten years on the road, ending that run taking roots in Southern California to join a silicon valley startup.

I have since held a number of positions all over the world. I also have learned much from great mentors and friends I met at work along the way. I am currently married and looking for my next work challenge to continue my journey. In my free time I try to keep up on my coding skills in the apple development world and aspire to learn how to play the electric guitar in the corner of the room. I still play basketball (a point guard) most days of the week though I have to admit that hiking or some non-contact sport soon will substitute that way of life as it really is a younger person's game.

I am energized and ready to try and change the world again. I hope to find a senior role where I can lead, teach and mentor while exceeding the position’s business goals. Please check out my work experience and credentials to see if I might have something to offer you.
